Northumberland Street Properties, a renowned developer of luxury, new-build apartments in Edinburgh, needed a kitchen supplier that could deliver exceptional quality and design to match their high standards.

The team at Silver Birch Interiors has now worked with them on two projects: Warriston Road in Edinburgh (11 plots) and Morningside Drive in Edinburgh (7 plots).
The Detail
Silver Birch Interiors provided a comprehensive solution to Northumberland Street Properties’ challenges. They offered a strategic approach to kitchen installation, emphasising the importance of coordination with other trades, and ensuring minimal damage and timely completion.
Aileen, Contracts Manager from Silver Birch Interior, explains: “A lot of builders/developers push for a kitchen to be installed way too early in the programme. What inevitably happens is the kitchen becomes a workbench for follow-on trades. Before you know it, multiple damages occur. For this reason, we advised the team at North to move us to the end of the programme, which they did.”.
Aileen went on to say, “They were also happy for us to deliver the kitchens in one multi-drop. We arrived on site with 7 kitchens and delivered them into individual plots. A single install team then worked through the plots until all were complete. This delivery/install strategy, combined with the apartments being at an advanced stage by the time we arrived, meant that the whole process went smoothly and we were able to complete the installations with minimum remedials. The end result was a far quicker completion.”
In addition to introducing this new process for the developer, Silver Birch was able to deliver kitchens that not only looked aesthetically pleasing, but also offered flexibility in terms of pricing and customisation.
